The EOSIO hackathon is a one month, virtual hackathon, with a 4-week sprint aimed at encouraging cashless payments by connecting Local Payment Systems to EOSIO.
Challenge Explainer:
Develop a solution that connects a local payment system (bank system, mobile money, fintech, etc) to blockchain enabling easy on-ramp and/or off-ramp into local currency.
Solution Domains for the hackathon:
- Retail:- Supply chain solutions (Using EOSIO in support of the interactions between buyers and suppliers through online smart contracts).
- Bank integrations: Leveraging the EOSIO platform to integrate and manage how transactions are processed, how rights are managed and how the day books are handled
- Remittance: Leveraging the EOSIO platform to manage how payments are done in form of remittances.

Judging Period will take place between 20th to 27th July

Terms and Conditions
Judging
Eligible Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by EOS and Block one. The panel of judges will comprise a maximum of 3 members and other guests with recognized experience in the subject matter of the hackathon.
Decisions of the panel will be made by a simple majority. The panel lead (appointed at the beginning) will have the right to cast a deciding vote if needed.
Decisions will be made at the panel’s sole discretion. No team or team member shall make any claim or appeal against decisions, either interlocutory or final, of the panel.
Prize Money
Prize money will be awarded to the best four categories as listed in the prize section. In the case of an individual, it will be awarded to them directly or to their representative. In the case of a team, it will be the responsibility of the Team Leader of Team Representative to distribute and allocate the prize money amongst the team members.
The prize money will be allocated and disbursed to the teams by any means the Organizing team deems appropriate, This can be in crypto, Wire Transfer, Wave, Paypal, or any other means. The winning team or Individual will be required to provide bank Information, and their mailing address in order to receive payment.
Taxes, fees, charges, or contributions related to the prizes are the sole responsibility of each individual member of the winning team.
The Hackathon Organizing Team reserves the right not to deliver prizes (in whole or in part) should the quality of final products not meet the challenge of the event. No team/team members shall dispute or make any claims on the decision.

The challenge is open to
- Individuals who are of the age of the majority at the time of Entry
- Teams of Eligible Individuals (Teams participate in groups of 3-5 Individuals )
- Organizations and Startups that are involved in payment solutions
- Partial teams are welcome to join and can find teammates on our slack channel or the participant's tab on Devpost.
Requirements
Submissions
Your submission must be:
- Include a 5-minute demo that goes over your project, with pitches limited to 1 min 30 seconds, and demo taking 3 min 30 seconds on Devpost.
- Include a link to the repository hosting the application’s source code on Github for easy access of judging and testing.
- Only one participant from the team should submit the solution on behalf of the other team members.
- Only one submission is required per each team.
- Submit quality, well documented, and commented code so it can be built upon in the future.
- Submissions will be accompanied by a complete identification of each of the team members including Team Name, Full Names of Participants, Emails, and Social Media Profiles.
- Include a Full team list with the Team Name, Full Team member name, social media handles, and email addresses.
- Your submission must not contain any content whatsoever that violates any law or any third party’s rights, this may include but not limited to privacy, personality, and Intellectual property rights.
- Your submission should not contain any malicious code or backdoors
- The solution should genuinely solve a real-world problem
- Your submission must include a title, description, image, and all team members associated with the hack.
- There are no programming language or tool restrictions but we encourage teams to use tech stacks that are commonly used and easy to scale.

The uniqueness of your idea may include how well your thought process is, how innovative you are, and how well the idea is implemented and executed by the developer or the team. -
Contextual Relevance 5% on a 0-10 range
